As a beginner in golf, I always researched in the internet on which exact clubs to use in playing golf.  Most of my readings have good suggestions.  First is, between cast or forged irons, beginners like me should choose cast irons.  Cast irons are perfectly matched for weight and balance throughout the set.  These clubs can be identified by the cavity back of the club face.  Such clubs are usually cast from a mold of harder metals than forged clubs are.  While forged irons are made of softer steel with chrome plating.  Experienced players use this clubs for greater spin and control of the ball.  Now between wooden or metal woods, for beginners, I should choose metal woods.  Metal woods are like cast irons: the generous weight distribution gives metal woods the edge over wooden ones for distance.  When choosing a club, you should know which shaft flex to use, shaft flex is how much it bends.  There are five types: extra stiff – for professionals, stiff – is for low-handicap golfers and younger players, medium – for the average club golfers of all levels, whippy – for older golfers, ladies’ flex – for woman golfers.  Knowing which flex suits you are when you feel the weight of the club head responding when you are waggling a club in front of you.  , When choosing a putter, there are five main types of putter: the traditional blade, heel-toe weighted, center-shafted, mallet-headed, and wacky.  Take one that suits you for length and lie.

As a golf player, you should take care of your clubs.  One way of taking care of them is keeping there grips clean.  The ridges and grooves on the grip give you with friction for a secure hold against your hand.  Always scrub them after using to remove grease and dirt.  In addition, try to keep the grooves in the club face free from dirt and grit at all times.  After a game, wipe the grooves with a brush and dishwashing liquid under running water.  Dry with towel to remove any leftover water from the clubface, which could cause rusting later.
